Term 3 Week 10

A big thank you to the Mortons for filling in our sandpit last weekend. It's been an amazing week to have it back in action. Thank you to everyone else who helped dig out the old pit as well, our tamariki are loving it.

  • Thursday: Ski day (fingers crossed)
  • Friday: Sausage sizzle

Meet and Greet: Hayden

Floating:  Sue

  • We have two adorable guinea pigs that need a home for the holidays. Unfortunately, Hayden and Sue are both going away for the holidays and are unable to look after them. If you'd be interested, please email or talk to us.
  • We will find out on Monday if the ski day will go ahead on Thursday. The ski day is dependent on the move to level 1.
  • On Monday and Wednesday, head coach Alan Adair will be running a tennis programme with the help of at least one other coach. He will have gear and racquets available, but some children may wish to bring their own racquets.
  • If you get up to anything in the holidays that you want to share with the rest of the class, remember to post it on the class blog. You can do this through the seesaw app. Remember, the password to see the blog is "launchkids" (no speech marks). Here is the link to view it https://blog.seesaw.me/whakarewa/#!/
    • If you do not know how to use the blog, you need to log in using your home learning code from lockdown. We will send out the codes for all students again next week. Check in their home learning kits.
  • We are having some trouble with a set of our cupboard doors. The doors to our teacher and device cupboard have broken and need replacing and we were wondering if there would be someone in our parent community who could help sort this out for us. We are happy to pay for materials and labour. Please see us if you can help.
  • Does anyone have some spare GOOS (good on one side) paper at home? Our children love to draw and create and we're running out of paper. If you have any that you'd be willing to donate, please send it in. We'd also love some more magazines to cut up and roll up to make more rakau sticks.
  • If you have any ecostore bottles, our school is a recycling collection point. There is a big box in the office where students can drop bottles off.
  • Please remember to send your child in with a drink bottle.
  • Next term all students will need to wear a sunhat during play. Please make sure all hats are clearly marked.
