Week Five Term Two 2019

PLEASE TAKE NOTE

* Could the children please bring a small plate of food to share for the baby shower on the Tuesday? We will be playing some games and having a party.

*  There will be PMP on Monday but not Wednesday this week.

*  We are closer to making our terrariums and are still taking bottles. Your children may ask if you have pebbles or walnut shells to put in the bottom. They would be appreciated too.

*  Make sure you get your tickets for the Musical Bingo. Always a fun night to be had and all while money is being raised for the school.

Week Four Term Two 2019


This is us at PMP! Thank you so much to the parents who helped this week. If you can help on a Monday or Wednesday afternoon, please add your name to our list on the whiteboard.

We have decided to cancel Monday's PMP as we have parents helping with transport in the morning for Cross country and feel as if this is a big enough day for all involved.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE

* Cross country is on Monday! 
Children will need
- Drink Bottle (There is no water at the pony club)
- School Jersey 
- Suitable running shoes
- Booster seat (Your child cannot go in a car without a booster seat.)


If you have offered to help transport us down to the cross country please be at school at 10:30. We need to be at Kaiapoi Pony Club at 10:50. Whakarewa will race at around 11:10. 

We are going to stay down at Silverstream for half an hour after the cross country has finished to help us with our inquiry learning this term.

*Does anyone know where to get cheap native seedlings for our terrariums?

*If your free in the mornings we would love some extra hands for ChILL throughout the week.

Week Three Term Two 2019

Friday 17/5    Yr 8 Pizza fundraiser  (order in library before school)

PLEASE TAKE NOTE

* We will be starting PMP (Perceptual Motor Programme) next week. Thank you to the parents who have been able to help. We will be in touch.

* The Mudfish trip is on Tuesday the 14th of May. The children do not need to wear uniform but need to be warm and have gumboots or shoes for mud. Don't forget a drink bottle and gardening gloves if you have them.

* Cross country training is going well. We are challenging ourselves to go faster and longer. Thank you for those who have returned their slips.

*We still need 1.5l or 2.25l plastic bottles to make terrariums for our Science/Inquiry. Follow this link to see more. Terrarium

* Whacky hair day is about celebrating our differences. Organised by the Student Council the cost for having whacky hair is an act of kindness to someone at school.

*  Pizza lunch is a fundraiser by the Year 8's for their trip to Wellington. Order in the library before school. $3 for two slices.
